How do I find support and resistance?

Look for price zones where the chart has turned at least twice: support where buyers kept stepping in, resistance where sellers kept showing up. Draw zones rather than exact lines, and watch for broken levels flipping roles on the retest.

Start on a higher timeframe such as the daily chart. Find the obvious turning points — the places where price clearly reversed.

Draw zones, not hairlines. Price rarely respects a level to the penny, so mark a band covering the wicks and bodies of those reactions.

Require at least two clear reactions. A level touched once is a guess; two or three strong reactions make it meaningful. Three strong levels beat twenty weak ones.

Watch polarity. When resistance breaks and price comes back to test it from above, it often acts as support — and vice versa. This flip is the basis of the breakout-retest setup.

Finally, note what happens at the level: a long wick and close back inside suggests rejection; a strong body closing through it with volume suggests acceptance.
